Product Overview
The RS-6900A2 Automatic Force Testing Machine is designed for automated force testing of glass, touchscreen modules, smartphones, tablets, notebooks and other electronic products.
With a three-axis XYZ motion system, the machine can perform single-point and multi-point holding force tests, 3-point and 4-point bending tests, button force testing and cyclic testing. During testing, the software automatically collects force-displacement data, generates test curves, stores test results and provides automatic Pass/Fail judgment.

Applications
The RS-6900A2 can be configured for different force testing requirements across consumer electronics, display components and electronic interfaces.
Button & Key Force Testing
The machine can perform button load-displacement curve testing for smartphones, tablets and other electronic products.
During the test, the system automatically collects force and displacement data and displays the resulting force-displacement curve. This allows engineers to evaluate the force response throughout button operation rather than relying only on a single force value.
Typical applications include:
- Smartphone buttons
- Tablet buttons
- Computer buttons
- Electronic keys and switches
Multi-Point Holding Force Testing
For products with multiple test locations, the RS-6900A2 can perform automatic single-point or multi-point holding force testing.
Typical applications include:
- Smartphones
- Tablets
- Computers
- Glass panels
- LCD modules
- Touchscreen modules
The product specification specifically identifies automatic single-point and multi-point holding force testing, including repeated cyclic testing.
Connector & Side-Force Testing
The RS-6900A2 can also be used for automatic holding-force testing of USB interfaces and headphone plugs, including side-force applications on smartphones, tablets and computers.
The appropriate fixture and loading configuration should be selected according to the actual connector and test requirement.
Glass, LCD & Touchscreen Testing
The machine is suitable for force testing of:
- Glass panels
- LCD modules
- Touchscreen modules
- Mobile phone displays
- Tablet displays
These applications can involve single-point or multi-point holding force measurements as well as cyclic testing.
3-Point & 4-Point Bending Testing
The RS-6900A2 also supports 3-point and 4-point bending tests for products and components requiring controlled loading and displacement measurement.
This provides an additional testing method for glass, display-related components and other electronic product structures where bending performance needs to be evaluated.

Automatic XYZ Positioning for Multi-Point Testing
Program the Test Points and Let the Machine Move Automatically
The main advantage of the RS-6900A2 is its automatic three-axis positioning system.
The X, Y and Z axes use Panasonic servo motors and THK ball screws. X controls left-right movement, Y controls forward-backward movement, and Z provides vertical movement for the test.
The operator can use the XY joystick to move the test position and automatically enter the corresponding X and Y coordinates into the software. The machine can then move to the programmed test positions automatically.
This is particularly useful for multi-point testing, where the same product needs to be tested at several defined locations.
XYZ Motion Range
- X-axis: 0–460 mm
- Y-axis: 0–300 mm
- Z-axis: 0–200 mm
- XY moving speed: 0.1–200 mm/sec
- Z-axis test speed: 0.1–500 mm/min
The A2 configuration provides a larger X-axis travel and larger allowable sample size than the standard configuration.

Force-Displacement Testing & Data Analysis
Measure the Complete Force Response
The RS-6900A2 automatically collects force and displacement data throughout the test.
The software can display:
- Force-displacement curves
- Force-time curves
- Test data
- Test results
- Pass / Fail status
The system can automatically save test data and curves and determine whether the result is Passed or Fail according to the configured test conditions.
This makes the machine useful when engineers need to evaluate not only the maximum force, but also how force changes during displacement.
Save Test Methods for Repeated Testing
Test methods can be set, stored, recalled and modified through the software.
This allows users to keep established test procedures and use them again when testing the same product or repeating a quality inspection. Test results can also be stored on the computer.
For repeated testing, this helps reduce the need to manually configure the same test conditions each time.
Test Reports & Data Export
The software supports test data and curve storage, direct printing of test data and curves, and generation of life-decay curves for applicable cyclic testing.
Test reports can be converted into:
The software interface supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English, while force units can be switched between N, Lb, gf and kgf.

How the RS-6900A2 Works
The basic test workflow is straightforward.
01 — Place the Sample
Secure the product or component on the test platform using the appropriate test fixture and loading setup.
02 — Define the Test Position
Use the XY joystick to move the test head to the required position and record the test-point coordinates.
03 — Set the Test Method
Configure the required test conditions, including force, displacement and other parameters, through the software.
04 — Automatic XYZ Testing
Once the test is started, the XYZ system automatically moves to the programmed positions and performs the required test sequence.
05 — Analyze the Results
The system collects force and displacement data during testing. Test curves are generated automatically, while the software can determine Pass/Fail results and save the test data.
