Product Overview
The RS-8115A Connector Durability Tester is designed for repeated mating and unmating tests to evaluate connector mechanical durability.
An adjustable fixture aligns the DUT with the mating direction, while the AC variable-speed drive provides controlled reciprocating motion. With a 50 kgf maximum capacity, 0–40 mm stroke, 10–60 cycles/min speed and up to 999,999 cycles, the RS-8115A supports testing from individual connectors to complete electronic devices.
Key Performance
| Maximum Capacity | Adjustable Stroke | Test Speed | Cycle Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 kgf | 0–40 mm | 10–60 cycles/min | 999,999 |
How the Test Works
The DUT and mating component are secured in the fixture and aligned along the insertion axis. After setting the required stroke, speed and cycle count, the RS-8115A automatically repeats the insertion and withdrawal motion.
The dedicated centering fixture supports consistent positioning, while the guided mechanism is designed to reduce mechanical friction and operating noise during repeated cycling.
Mount DUT → Align → Set Stroke → Set Speed → Set Cycles → Run Test → Inspect

Need Help With the Fixture?
Send us a photo or drawing showing the DUT, connector location and mating direction. Our team can review the test setup before configuration.
What does the RS-8115A test?
The RS-8115A performs repeated insertion and withdrawal cycling to evaluate the durability of connectors, plugs, sockets and device-mounted interfaces.
Can it test connectors installed in finished devices?
Yes. The fixture system can accommodate connectors installed in products such as smartphones, tablets and laptops, in addition to standalone connector pairs.
What is the adjustable test stroke?
The reciprocating stroke is adjustable from 0 to 40 mm, allowing the travel to be set around the mating movement required by the DUT.
What test speed and cycle count can be set?
The test speed is adjustable from 10 to 60 cycles/min, with a programmable cycle count of up to 999,999 cycles.
How do I know which fixture is required?
Fixture selection depends on the DUT dimensions, connector location and mating direction. Send us a product drawing or photo with the connector position marked so the setup can be reviewed before configuration.
What information should I provide before ordering?
Please provide the product or connector type, DUT dimensions, connector position, mating direction, required stroke, expected force, test speed, cycle count, and applicable test standard or internal specification.
