| Tensile, compression, bending, peel, tear and shear. | Match the grip or fixture to the specimen and test. | Automatic data collection, curves and analysis. |
Typical Test Configurations
Different specimens require different grips and test configurations. Machine capacity alone does not determine whether a test setup is suitable.
| Application | Typical Tests | Configuration Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Adhesive Tape | 90° / 180° Peel | Peel fixture, angle & test speed |
| Wire & Cable | Tensile / Breaking Force | Grip type & anti-slip setup |
| Rubber & Plastics | Tensile / Bending / Tear | Fixture & specimen geometry |
| Film & Foil | Tensile / Peel | Low-force measurement & gripping |
| Textiles & Nonwovens | Tensile / Tear | Specimen width & grip selection |
| Small Components | Compression / Force | Fixture & loading direction |
For fine wire, thin film, foil and other low-force specimens, selecting the appropriate load capacity is particularly important.
For cable, rubber, plastics and other components, the fixture, specimen dimensions and required travel should also be considered.
Grips & Fixtures
One Machine. Different Fixtures.
The RS-8010A can be adapted to different test methods by changing the corresponding fixture.
Typical configurations include:
Tensile Fixture | Compression Fixture | Bending Fixture | Peeling Fixture | Winding Wire Fixture | Rubber Tensile Fixture
The right fixture defines the test.

Test Methods & Standards
The RS-8010A can be configured for different ASTM, ISO and other material test methods.
Typical applications include:
| Test | Reference Standards |
|---|---|
| Plastic Tensile | ASTM D638 / ISO 527 |
| Rubber Tensile | ASTM D412 / ISO 37 |
| Adhesive Tape Peel | ASTM D3330 |
| Plastic Flexural | ASTM D790 / ISO 178 |
An Important Note About Standards
A testing machine alone does not automatically make a test compliant with a particular standard.
The complete configuration must be considered, including:
Load Cell + Fixture + Test Speed + Specimen Geometry + Travel + Test Procedure
If you provide the required test standard, our engineers can help determine the appropriate RS-8010A configuration.
How the RS-8010A Works:From Sample to Test Result
01 Configure Test → 02 Install Fixture → 03 Mount Sample → 04 Run Test → 05 Analyze Results
Test Method & Parameters → Match the Application → Position & Secure → Automatic Data Collection → Curves & Test Data
