Cable Bending and Twisting Fatigue Testing Machine
The RS-8111A Flexible Cable Flexing & Torsion Tester is used to evaluate the durability of cables, wire harnesses and finished wire products under repeated bending and twisting movements.
During daily use, cables are rarely subjected to bending alone. Charging cables, USB cables, headphone wires and automotive harnesses are often exposed to combined flexing and torsional stress. After thousands or even millions of cycles, conductor breakage, insulation damage and connection failures may occur.
The RS-8111A reproduces these conditions in a controlled laboratory environment by combining linear flexing motion with programmable rotational movement. It allows manufacturers to verify cable structure reliability, compare design solutions and identify potential weak points before mass production.

Test Principle
The RS-8111A performs simultaneous linear reciprocating motion and programmable rotational movement on the cable specimen.
During testing, one end of the cable is fixed while the opposite end undergoes repeated bending and torsional stress.
By controlling:
- Stroke
- Rotation angle
- Test speed
- Pause time
- Number of cycles
the tester accurately simulates long-term mechanical fatigue encountered during real-world cable operation.
The specimen is inspected periodically for conductor breakage, insulation damage, intermittent electrical failure or connector loosening.
